Game Day Info

Game Schedules

• If you haven't already done so, make sure you set your Team page.  It can be found under the LEAGUES dropdown menu across the top. Pick your FALL HS League, then your(Varsity or JV), your team's Division color, then your team name.
• We have a full slate of games, so make sure you arrive 30-45 minutes prior in order to find a parking spot, check-in and pick up your reversible.
• Games will start promptly at their allotted time.

Word of Grace Parking

• Please be mindful of the No Parking signs... some of the businesses (especially across the street) have been known to tow.
• Note that parking is permitted at...
  • Along Redskin Drive
  • The Touchdown Deli parking lot (on the right, immediately prior to Word of Grace)
  • Triangular lot after BigEye Direct (past the building after Word of Grace) 

Upon Arrival

• If you feel sick STAY HOME!
• Pass the COVID Temperature Check at the main gate

Player Check-In

• Stop in at the Check-In Table, provide your name and you will be issued a reversible numbered jersey (yours to keep... just don't trade numbers with a teammate!)
• If you are unsure of your registration payment status, log into your VEL Website profile and check your status.
  • If your payment is still due, you can pay in-person via personal check
  • If you have an outstanding balance in question, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN YOUR GAME.

Drinks & Mouthpieces

• We will have Mouthpieces, Water and Gatorade for sale each week
• Coffee is always free!
• Please dispose of all trash in the proper receptacles
• Antibacterial lotion will be available, but we suggest you bring your own, just in case we run out.

Word of Grace Parking

Field Entrance

• No Pets are Allowed.  This is a Word of Grace policy we are required to adhere to.

• Only utilize the Main Gate (to left of the Word of Grace Building)

• Please respect the Word of Grace property and do not attempt to access the fields through the church entrance.  At no time should any player, parent or fan enter the church in an attempt to gain access to the athletic fields and/or use the restrooms.

We have had a wonderful relationship with the good people at the church and wish to continue as such.  Please respect their property.

How to View your Team Page?

1. Sign in to the website using your EMAIL and PASSWORD
2. Via the dropdown menus, click on LEAGUES
3. At the CHOOSE A TEAM: prompt, specify

• FALL HS LEAGUE
• Your League: i.e. Varsity or Junior Varsity, then the division color (ex. VARSITY LEAGUE > BLUE)
• Your Team: (ex. MUMFORD)

This will leave you on your “Team Page”.  From here, you can (on the left strip)…

• CONTACTS – Reach out to your coaches
• SCHEDULE – View your upcoming games
• ROSTER – View the players and coaches (NOTE: check out OPTIONS… a great way print out rosters, email the team members, etc.)
• RESULTS – Review scores to previous games
• STANDINGS – Divisional and Conference Standings

IMPORTANT NOTE –  The “single version of the truth” as far as schedules go is what’s currently online.  Recommendation is NOT to print out the entire season’s schedule for you team because it might change slightly over the course of the season (Occasionally, Teams request time changes due to SAT/ACT Testing, School Events, etc.)  

As a general rule, any change to the current week’s schedule will occur not later than midnight Wednesday.  This will prevent players from having to make last minute logistical changes, as well as ensure that game reminders sent out late in the week are accurate.

Highlights

• 10 v 10 full field lacrosse
• Games are 2x 25 minute halves (running time)
• Federation Rules (no shot clock)
• SEVEN games guaranteed
• OPEN (Under 35) and MASTERS (35 and older) divisions
• TOP FOUR teams in each division will play in a Single Elimination Championship Tournament
• Week Night Games ONLY

Jerseys / Uniforms Note - Teams supply their own reversible jerseys  

STEP 1 - Reserve a Team

Have your Coach / Team point of contact visit our TEAM Reservation Page and register your team (there is no charge).  You will be prompted for your Team Name, as well as the Division you'd like to participate in.

STEP 2 - Player Registration

Once your team reservation is accepted, your Coach / Team Point of Contact will be notified and PLAYERs can begin registering for that team. Visit our PLAYER Registration Page and register for your team.  "Free Agents" are welcome as well!  When prompted to select your team, simply choose the FREE AGENTS team associated wtih your appropriate Division and you will be allocated to a team.

Season Details

• Games: Monday, Sept 13 thru Monday, Nov 1
• 7 game regular season, then playoffs for top 4 teams in each Division
• Games will be held weeknights, Monday thru Thursday
• Game Times are expected to be 7:00pm, 8:00pm, 9:00pm and 10:00pm

League Structure

Participation Notes...

• Players have the option to play "down" (i.e. younger conference), but not "up" (i.e. older)
• A Player may participate on multiple teams affiliated with different conferences if...

(1) they are age qualified for each conference involved, and

(2) they register and pay for each team
